DEVIL OR THE BLUE SEA

Surely you’ve heard the saying,
‘Either the Devil or the blue sea?’
Well daily choices are same thing;
get back up or give up everything.

NEVER QUITE ENOUGH

Why is plenty never quite enough?
Why do the rich folks want more?
Maybe if the dead have a thought
they would want more as before,
only to again die off with nought.

FORCES OF FAITH

Faith allows forces of the universe,
to help me to align and transverse.
Working makes all things happen,
as equally intensity makes certain.
Results aren’t always the desired,
but beats regrets not to have tried.

Inspired by @DrivesToTheSky

WANT IS WASTEFUL

People want more than they get,
every relief comes with its regret.
Then waste it and still want more,
and their merriment makes it sore.

AFTER A WAR

After a war nothing pleases,
peace comes in little pieces;
like food eaten pass in feces.
It is chewed and well beaten,
only maggot food will remain.

ALWAYS RIGHT

The time is always right, to do right;
because what’s right is always right.
While the way of wickedness grinds,
all that of righteousness ever binds.

SHORT MEMORIES

People have very short memories,
which is so incredible on its own.
Same folks repeat same tragedies,
claiming innocence for guilt borne.

AROUND OTHERS

We wrap our lives around others,
and when they untie, it bothers.
The world would seem smaller
and life a whole more lonelier.

YOUR DUTY

It’s actually your duty to be useful,
your duty to take care of yourself.
Your responsibility to be careful,
for everybody else and yourself.

THE MOON IS FIGHTING

The moon is fighting but does not win.
It is not that it is small for this reason,
or that the Sun is its rival on a mission?
It is how earth sees things in the open.

IT IS COMPLICATED

We make life more complicated,
more than it is, which isn’t fated.
When we’re older we realize this;
sadly rather late for joyous ease.

NOT THE SKY

It is the Earth moving, not the sky.
Every single moment will pass by,
only returns to repeat like it could.
But you pass away, not the world.

DAYS ARE NUMBERED

Everyone will have those dreams
that probably aren’t just dreams,
They come true for they’re fated,
for surely our days are numbered.

THE RIGHTS AND THE WRONGS

When I’m wrong, I can also be right,
bias in opinion can blur one’s sight.
When I’m right, I can create wrongs,
reasoning grows off faith it belongs.

A POLISHED GEM

You saw what you could see often,
enjoyed all frequently and in open.
Learned properly all that you could,
taught all the best way you should.
Built joyful memories to the brim;
you are indeed the polished gem.

THIS IS SUCH A SHOCK!!

I will greatly miss your kind and encouraging words!!

I’m glad in my own small way I had cheered you, entertained you & shared bits of warm moments of reflections with you.

Thank you for always being there.

Rest in perfect peace Mummy!!

A THOUGHT IN THE HEAD

Just to think about it for a moment
lingers on like brain waves on rent.
Taking form but not actually there,
yet it’s there not fully or ever clear.

RUNNING NO WHERE

Running away from the ways of hell,
being chased by temptations to tell.
The world’s ways keeps you so busy,
to know or find destination isn’t easy.

THE CONSPIRACIST

If you run away once, you’ve a reason.
You quit once again, you’ve a decision.
You repeat in once more, it’s a mission.
When you do again, you’re the reason.

CORNER STORE

Every stone is somewhat a reject,
castaway to make its own effect.
Each one is finding its own place,
with tiny luck, to leave own trace.

ARTISTS

Art isn’t as personal as it is emotional
and artist’s painful effort is intentional.
Their talent gives so easily but teases
and artists loneliest when art pleases.

WHEN THE HORSE MAN COMES

What goes through a person’s mind
when knowing they’re about to die?
They chase what they can still find,
or lament the had and lost anyway?

WILD NATURE

He that lives by the sword to feed
roams the wilderness of his breed.
Time waits for his days of frailties,
to join many of nature’s casualties.

BEYOND THE DAY

Everyday goes and will return again,
with similar good memories as pain.
Where days go is not beyond reach,
it’s somewhere that ends all search.

FOURTH TRIMESTER

First was all good, making life from nought.
Secondly we grew, before it became rough.
Thirdly we wobbled towards splitting tough.
Fourth is a final bond, lasting forever though.

EYES EVERYWHERE

There’re eyes everywhere you look,
staring from every cranny and nook.
Making you feel as naked as fragile,
with evil around behind every smile.

ANIMALS FIRST

Before human people are animals first,
compassionate with an undying thirst;
with their intelligence as a smarter pull
to be equally devious, mean and cruel.

PRESENT MAMA

Best privilege bestowed on a child
is feeding merrily and never mind,
playing with joy, crying to bother;
guarded by ever present mother.

LOOKING UP

When children look up who do they see,
the sight to dread, respect or one to be?
Child’s aspiration mimics their decisions,
copies their fantasies or painted versions.
Either way, children become their visions.

IT IS A GREY WORLD

We live in worlds with lots of grey,
where folks are not what they say.
Where good people do bad things,
where bad people do good things.

MOON SHINE

Gloom clouds over when it is fine,
moons in any life loses their shine.
Whenever the circumstance allow,
the brightness returns soon in tow.

JUSTICE AND REVENGE

Reason justice and revenge are confused;
one is forever emotional when it’s abused,
the other attempts instilling objective law.
Not all legal, though same copies we know.

HUNTERS AND GATHERERS

Civilization has not outgrown its savagery;
people are still heartless brutes in misery,
why they repeat same battles is a mystery.
But they still gather and also will still hurt
and wars comes down to that simple fact.

GOOD, BAD AND UGLY

Children will grow up to be what they will be,
no matter what we say or do or don’t maybe.
All that we can is teach them what is all good,
the ills of the bad and ugly too, like we should.

LIVING DEAD

Maybe if we all got to live like we’re dying,
with everything to lose and also nothing.
After all it is not far fetch because we are,
forever dying, that’s one thing we all share.

PLANET OF THE APES

We are all here to do what we can,
also attempt following some plan.
We are not just here solely to live,
we are here because we are alive.
We are a sum total of what it takes,
the creature of all choices it makes.

PIECES OF YOU

Remember well on all your behalf,
people would want what you have.
To keep for themselves, not share.
Even your last piece, they won’t care.

PIECES OF YOU

Remember well on all your behalf,
people would want what you have.
To keep for themselves, not share.
Even your last piece, they won’t care.

OUR NINE LIVES

Do folks really change, who knows.
Certainly a person ages and grows
and alter tastes and pause in ways,
so become reflective of their ways.

HEARING WALLS

The walls have ears and they share,
they will carry tales far without fear.
Deepest room can never hide that,
which its walls reveals in their craft.
