This could be a song

robertweisenburger

Your bones are brittle
driftwood
That pace across the sea-
Sifting over idle wave
That sustains the life of a lost
And worthy soul –
Swallowed
Whole
By the tide who gave him
That twinkle in his eye
And
The gleam of his crooked whites.
Amongst the majesty
Of the sea maidens water,
He offers to her:
 “oh I plead ,
I plead
My muse swallow me
whole”

She grants him such wishes.
