WE ALWAYS KNOW

We don’t know what we don’t know,
but we know what we already know.
We cannot never escape our own hell;
if we numb or embolden it, only we tell.

WORRIES GROW HORNS

Better off not knowing some things;
worries grow horns of their makings.
We are built to carry our own weight,
extras are only harmful to our health.

THE OLD BEAUTIFUL LADY SAID

What an old beautiful lady said
advices the pretty young maid.
“All those stares you’ll ever get,
that’re quite openly displayed,
they are devious, never forget.”

WITHOUT SHAME

A caring animal keeps you human;
for it shows conscience like a man.
But difficult folks drive you insane,
burn your patience without shame.

ONLY A WOMAN KNOWS

Only a woman knows who she loves,
man may not say for sure if she does.
The man gets drunken when he loves,
his woman confuses him as she goes,
with same pretences as when she does.

LIZARD ON TWO LEGS

Man is a warrior lizard on two legs,
he loves, hates, admires and begs.
On his terms, behaves as he likens,
though fragile as any day frightens.

WHEN YOU ARE GONE

When you are gone, you are gone.
You’re over, and absent and done.
Time as you know it, ends for you.
That much is irrefutable and true.

HANDS UP IF YOU MATTER

At the end of your life would you rather
be glad you had lived or would it matter
that you had lived at all for those folks
for whom you slaved and taken knocks?

BACKWARD MADE FORWARD

Everyone can’t see their future for certain,
not without their past making it all happen.
It’s no mystery that for every step forward,
one taken in its past had moved it onward.

FRIENDS AND ENEMIES

Show your friends and show who you’re,
they’ll add up as sum total of what you’re.
Reveal your enemies, expose your beliefs.
As your opposites, enemies are not reliefs.

IT IS A MARRIAGE

Some proposal that was accepted,
expectation trying to be contented.
Endless wait for a high that is gone,
still the pairing spends away alone.

ALWAYS FOR NOTHING

More time than often we waste emotions,
holding ourselves back in making decisions.
All that fear and trepidation just for nothing,
for at the end of all it was always for nothing.

EMPTY PAIN

When loved ones die and pass on,
the empty pain we feel deep down
is the affection love we always had
struggling inside us, making us sad.

YOUNG SHALL GROW

Chickens on their armless runs
will look like chased amputees.
Helplessness that today burns
yields bounties, it guarantees.

FORGIVE AS YOU GO OR REMAIN

Forgive those who cause you pain,
wish ’em well as they go or remain.
Universe would pay you all in kind,
reward with joy and peace of mind.

MEN CAN NEVER BE WOMEN TOO

Argue with yourself all you want to;
men can never do what women do.
They can try, they could pretend to,
but they’re men and not women too.

WHEN OLDER MEN THINK

Whenever the older men think,
they reason in mental puzzles.
Many pieces to pick and link,
their logic drips and drizzles.

THOSE THAT LIVE ON

Special folks do not die like others do.
While everyone will also die once too,
those unique live on in another realm,
with the last person to remember them.

THOSE BETWEENS

We were all born and will all die,
that much is similar for all, no lie.
It’s the fillers between that differs,
for it is about living how it matters.

HANDLING THE TRUTH

Folks believe lies when it suits them;
when they are easy and comfortable.
The truth they’ll doubt all over again,
because it is real and tough to handle.

BIRTHDAY EVERY DAY

Let us do the Math, reasoning a bit.
Like we could’ve been born any day,
any day we could die like some light.
So I celebrate gifts of every new day.

DIFFERENT STROKES

Different strokes for different folks,
not all girls get their way with blokes.
For some he holds a light when they read,
another soothes him underneath his beard.

SIGN OF THE TIMES

Bearded replace clean shaven men.
Grown up men trying to be women.

Coupled girls adopting cup babies.
Mop head models in baggie patties.

I get it, signs of every time changes,
but these’re headaches in trenches.

BEST ADVICE IS FREE

Like the best things in life are free,
the really best advices come free.
Those types you do not ask for
but you get anyway for sure.

WASTE OF TIME

Waste time looking for happiness in another
and you end up more disappointed than ever.
Maybe joy you’ll get from those around now
is the best you’ll get from those yet to know.

YOU WILL WAKE UP OLD

Once you had it all or think you can.
You were young, strong with a plan.
Then one morning you wake up older,
with strong limbs and back no longer.

WHEN WE WERE

Once we were children playing with toys,
then became men but still remain as boys.
We look large, with bigger roles and talk,
yet our egos grew, turning play into work.

LOVE BUT SYMPATHIZE

Love is commonest feeling abused
but sympathy most popularly used.
Words can never express as much,
even if at their best they say such.

SAME RULES

What is more difficult than who to trust?
Maybe the close second is who we love.
Find courage to rediscover the child lost,
same blind faith still rules here as above.

LIFE GOES BY TOO QUICK

Life goes by too quick, before we know,
and at the end of it all, nothing to show.
So don’t sweat the small stuff, be merry
and enjoy every moment, don’t be sorry.

NOTHING TO FIND

If you’re looking for something
and yet always finding nothing,
maybe there is actually nothing,
and you so want to find anything.

BRIDESMAIDS IN WHITE

Hypocrisy is not a scarce art form,
it abounds wherever you are from.
Not every friend loves your home;
lots will cheer far less when alone.

CHOOSE OR FOLLOW

Ever wondered if you are in control;
of all what you see, hear, eat or troll?
With the world a village in our hand,
do we choose or follow just any band?

FAVOUR AND HARD WORK

Favour waters and nourishes from birth
like the garden plant grown up to a tree.
Hard work perseveres to a great height,
like pigmy goats high as they wish to be.

NEVER QUITE ENOUGH

Why is plenty never quite enough?
Why do the rich folks want more?
Maybe if the dead have a thought
they would want more as before,
only to again die off with nought.

SHORT MEMORIES

People have very short memories,
which is so incredible on its own.
Same folks repeat same tragedies,
claiming innocence for guilt borne.

AROUND OTHERS

We wrap our lives around others,
and when they untie, it bothers.
The world would seem smaller
and life a whole more lonelier.

YOUR DUTY

It’s actually your duty to be useful,
your duty to take care of yourself.
Your responsibility to be careful,
for everybody else and yourself.

A POLISHED GEM

You saw what you could see often,
enjoyed all frequently and in open.
Learned properly all that you could,
taught all the best way you should.
Built joyful memories to the brim;
you are indeed the polished gem.

THIS IS SUCH A SHOCK!!

I will greatly miss your kind and encouraging words!!

I’m glad in my own small way I had cheered you, entertained you & shared bits of warm moments of reflections with you.

Thank you for always being there.

Rest in perfect peace Mummy!!

RUNNING NO WHERE

Running away from the ways of hell,
being chased by temptations to tell.
The world’s ways keeps you so busy,
to know or find destination isn’t easy.

WHEN THE HORSE MAN COMES

What goes through a person’s mind
when knowing they’re about to die?
They chase what they can still find,
or lament the had and lost anyway?

FOURTH TRIMESTER

First was all good, making life from nought.
Secondly we grew, before it became rough.
Thirdly we wobbled towards splitting tough.
Fourth is a final bond, lasting forever though.

EYES EVERYWHERE

There’re eyes everywhere you look,
staring from every cranny and nook.
Making you feel as naked as fragile,
with evil around behind every smile.

PRESENT MAMA

Best privilege bestowed on a child
is feeding merrily and never mind,
playing with joy, crying to bother;
guarded by ever present mother.

HUNTERS AND GATHERERS

Civilization has not outgrown its savagery;
people are still heartless brutes in misery,
why they repeat same battles is a mystery.
But they still gather and also will still hurt
and wars comes down to that simple fact.

GOOD, BAD AND UGLY

Children will grow up to be what they will be,
no matter what we say or do or don’t maybe.
All that we can is teach them what is all good,
the ills of the bad and ugly too, like we should.
