SOLITUDE

Solitude has its moment and uses;
keeps away from lust or its abuses.
Devil does not come for lone folks,
he passes them by in his filled bus.

YOU HAVE TO GET IT

Cow don’t give milk, you’ve to get it.
Lungs breath air only if you inhale it.
Frustration develops without effort,
for happiness is the result of effort.

THE OLD BEAUTIFUL LADY SAID

What an old beautiful lady said
advices the pretty young maid.
“All those stares you’ll ever get,
that’re quite openly displayed,
they are devious, never forget.”

WHEN FOOLS CALL THE SHOT

Worrisome when fools call the shot
because they are too dumb to care.
Yet a smart world relies on same lot
to save it from horrors it must bear.

OPINIONS AND OPINIONS

“Men in those days had convictions;
we moderns only have our opinions.”
Back then they stepped up, had it done;
today we simply have a say on our phone.

HANDS UP IF YOU MATTER

At the end of your life would you rather
be glad you had lived or would it matter
that you had lived at all for those folks
for whom you slaved and taken knocks?

BACKWARD MADE FORWARD

Everyone can’t see their future for certain,
not without their past making it all happen.
It’s no mystery that for every step forward,
one taken in its past had moved it onward.

FRIENDS AND ENEMIES

Show your friends and show who you’re,
they’ll add up as sum total of what you’re.
Reveal your enemies, expose your beliefs.
As your opposites, enemies are not reliefs.

ALWAYS FOR NOTHING

More time than often we waste emotions,
holding ourselves back in making decisions.
All that fear and trepidation just for nothing,
for at the end of all it was always for nothing.

DESOLATED RUINS

Every city crumbles where it stand
and all its multiples waste as sand.
Some day all would be quiet ruins,
the tallest will be quiet sand dunes.

MEN CAN NEVER BE WOMEN TOO

Argue with yourself all you want to;
men can never do what women do.
They can try, they could pretend to,
but they’re men and not women too.

WHEN OLDER MEN THINK

Whenever the older men think,
they reason in mental puzzles.
Many pieces to pick and link,
their logic drips and drizzles.

HARD BELIEVE

It’s not so much what you believe
but how hard is it you will believe.
The air you breath you do not see,
yet it’s anywhere you choose to be.

WAR OF THE WORLDS

‘Read this in Morgan Freeman’s voice’

If aliens had won the War of the Worlds,
they would’ve run over our households,
lord over all our planet’s other neighbors,
living in all our very likeness and colours.

LOVE BUT SYMPATHIZE

Love is commonest feeling abused
but sympathy most popularly used.
Words can never express as much,
even if at their best they say such.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

It could be greener on the other side,
but you never really tell from this side.
You can expect, hope, deduce or pray,
but plan because it may go either way.

MY CONSCIENCE AND I

Most times it’s Yes when I think No.
Often enough, I do not even know.
But then I do have the conscience;
a friend on either side of the fence.

WANT IS WASTEFUL

People want more than they get,
every relief comes with its regret.
Then waste it and still want more,
and their merriment makes it sore.

SHORT MEMORIES

People have very short memories,
which is so incredible on its own.
Same folks repeat same tragedies,
claiming innocence for guilt borne.

YOUR DUTY

It’s actually your duty to be useful,
your duty to take care of yourself.
Your responsibility to be careful,
for everybody else and yourself.

A THOUGHT IN THE HEAD

Just to think about it for a moment
lingers on like brain waves on rent.
Taking form but not actually there,
yet it’s there not fully or ever clear.

THE CONSPIRACIST

If you run away once, you’ve a reason.
You quit once again, you’ve a decision.
You repeat in once more, it’s a mission.
When you do again, you’re the reason.

MOON SHINE

Gloom clouds over when it is fine,
moons in any life loses their shine.
Whenever the circumstance allow,
the brightness returns soon in tow.

PLANET OF THE APES

We are all here to do what we can,
also attempt following some plan.
We are not just here solely to live,
we are here because we are alive.
We are a sum total of what it takes,
the creature of all choices it makes.

PIECES OF YOU

Remember well on all your behalf,
people would want what you have.
To keep for themselves, not share.
Even your last piece, they won’t care.

PIECES OF YOU

Remember well on all your behalf,
people would want what you have.
To keep for themselves, not share.
Even your last piece, they won’t care.

OUR NINE LIVES

Do folks really change, who knows.
Certainly a person ages and grows
and alter tastes and pause in ways,
so become reflective of their ways.

HEARING WALLS

The walls have ears and they share,
they will carry tales far without fear.
Deepest room can never hide that,
which its walls reveals in their craft.

TERMINATORS

Judgement day is long in the past,
terminators now walk in our midst.
People long created their down fall,
the machines are already in control.

HOPELESSNESS

Regret is not the useless emotion,
it has its uses in the right situation.
Hopelessness is the most retched,
because regret corrects one notion
but hope once defeated is ill-fated.

UPROOTED

Even the mightiest will fall one day
and it’s pride downed and floored.
The firmest structures would sway
and surely some day be uprooted.

NEVER LET IT SHOW

All those who are easily offended,
are also quite easily manipulated.
Guarded peace also taken for sure.
So take peace everywhere you go,
hidden in a bag, never let it show.

DYING IS EASY

Dying is easy, it is living that’s hard.
So is giving up everything one had.
But wouldn’t everything we’ve got,
one day all be easily gone and lost?

FAITH IN UNTRUTHS

People have a desire to believe
and it is insatiable without relief.
They would have faith in untruths,
and grow trees from rubber fruits.

WHY LIARS LIE

Everybody knows why liars lie,
because everyone has told a lie.
Where the truth isn’t convenient,
lies steal in briefly to be sufficient.

DAY’S END

The day is ending and the sun sets;
all the birds hurrying to their nests.
Men row to rest and put oars away,
Time restart tomorrow, a day away.

ONE MORE YEAR

I gladly spend every midnight’s end
grateful I am alive into another day.
Rather than one night at year’s end
that I had again seen one more day.

WORDS ARE NOT CHEAP

Words aren’t cheap, believe it.
Words are certainly expensive.
What’s cheap lack words for it;
why it’s not quite as expressive.

Words express trip to the moon,
such as the blind will imagine it.
Whether late, timely or too soon,
words colours haziness and fix it.

MONA LISA ON THE TRAIN

Saw Mona Lisa on the train today.
Where she’s off to, she didn’t say.
Too bad I did not get her number.
But wait, I know what to call her!

CHEATING BEDMATES

When a woman has sex with a man
he leaves an imprint over her mind.
It is not the same case for the man,
his is all physical and doesn’t mind.

The woman cheats for the emotion
loving her own man conditionally.
While men love with little emotion
and love a woman unconditionally.

So if he hurts her and she forgives,
he realizes value of her truest love.
When she forgets it; truly forgives,
she submits her existence to love.

But a bastard forgets this yet again,
for men cheat with bodily pleasure.
He is wired to cause a woman pain.
She cheats for emotional pleasure.

NAKED TRUTH

The Lie had said to the Truth,
“Let us take a bath together.
water is very nice for a bath
and no one will be a bother.”

They got naked and bathed.
Suddenly Lie had leapt out,
got out the water and bolted,
wearing the clothes of Truth.

Furious Truth climbed out too
but didn’t get her clothes back.
But world sees the naked Truth,
look away with anger, turn back.

Poor Truth returns in the water,
disappeared ever in her shame.
Since Lie runs about in laughter
and truth stay hidden in shame.

Society hosts Lies all so happy;
Lies all dressed up as the Truth.
World without a desire to marry
and to embrace the naked Truth.

Jean-Léon Gérôme: 1896)
